What the job is

A well-known company in the commercial and retail sector is looking for a Bookkeeper to join their finance team in Johannesburg, Gauteng. This is a permanent position where you will work closely with the Accountant to support the company’s daily financial operations.

What you will do

You will provide accurate financial and administrative support to the business. Your tasks will include handling bookkeeping duties, managing reconciliations, processing creditors and debtors, and maintaining the general ledger. You will also assist with various accounting processes to ensure smooth financial operations.

What you need

You must have a Grade 12 or Matric certificate. A qualification in Accounting, Finance, or Bookkeeping is a plus. You need 2 to 4 years of experience in a bookkeeping or similar finance role. Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles, accounting processes, and experience with accounting or ERP systems is required. You should also have good Excel skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
