What the job is

This is a position for a Bindery and Print Finishing Assistant at Jetline Midrand, a printing company based in Johannesburg, Gauteng. The role is a six-month contract and involves working in the print finishing department to help prepare and finalize printed materials for clients.

What you will do

You will bind printed books and booklets to make them ready for delivery. You will fold brochures and flyers neatly and accurately. You will cut paper and other materials to the correct sizes as needed. You will laminate posters to protect them and make them look professional. You will staple and drill documents to keep pages together. You will also handle general housekeeping tasks to keep the workspace clean and organized. Additionally, you will take stock of supplies, care for and maintain equipment, and pack, wrap, and label finished products. Cleaning duties will also be part of your responsibilities.

What you need

You must have completed Matric with Mathematics and Literacy. You need to be physically able to stand for up to seven hours a day. You should be able to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks in a single day. This job involves manual labor, so you must be comfortable with physical work. You should have a good sense of initiative, an eye for detail, and a strong concern for the quality of client products and their business needs.

What you will get

The job offers a basic monthly salary of R4000 to R5000. It is a six-month contract position, providing an opportunity to gain experience in the printing and bindery industry.
