This job is for a Bank Reconciliation Clerk to work in the Finance Department of a company based in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal. The role is a fixed-term contract lasting six months. Responsibilities include reconciling bank accounts by comparing transactions in the iMal system with bank statements, updating the cash book, and investigating discrepancies. You will prepare financial reports, reconcile transactions between iMal and the Enterprise Debit Card System, verify SWIFT messages, and monitor bank fees. Collaboration with auditors and meeting month-end deadlines are key. Requirements include a degree in Finance/Accounting, 2-3 years of banking experience (1-2 years in cash reconciliation), proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel), and experience with iMal and Power BI. Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and organizational abilities are essential. The role offers experience in a finance environment and exposure to modern financial systems.
