What the job is: This internship opportunity is available at the University of the Free State, specifically at the Qwaqwa Campus in the Free State province. The role is part of the A_STEP program and involves supporting the Centre for Teaching and Learning. The internship is a one-year contract position with a focus on assisting with teaching and learning initiatives.

What you will do: As an A_STEP Intern, you will manage a database containing detailed information about tutors, assist with booking venues and scheduling online links for tutorials, resolve venue or online tutorial issues, capture attendance data on Oracle for reporting, provide feedback to tutors during observations, assist with tutor payments, and develop evaluation schedules. You will also distribute, collect, scan, and capture evaluation forms, assist with portfolio assessments and session plan submissions on Blackboard, and support research initiatives.

What you need: To qualify, you must hold a Bachelor’s degree at NQF Level 7, not currently participate in another learnership/internship, have no prior formal work experience, and be willing to sign a learnership/internship agreement for one year. Proven computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and basic research/data skills are recommended. Experience as a tutor or teaching assistant is advantageous.

What you will get: The internship offers an annual remuneration of R9,497.50 per month (subject to budget, experience, and qualifications).
