Assistant Officer (Temporary Contract)

This job is for an Assistant Officer position at the University of the Free State. The university is looking for people to work in the Student Academic Services department, specifically in Bloemfontein or Qwaqwa. As an Assistant Officer, you will provide customer service to students and staff through email, phone, and in-person interactions. You will respond to questions and complaints, using resources like the FAQ library and website to give accurate information. If a problem is too complex, you will pass it on to a team leader. You will also help students with registration forms, guide them through the process, and ensure all their paperwork is correct.

To apply for this job, you must have at least a Grade 12 certificate or a National Vocational Certificate at NQF Level 4. You should also have six months of experience working in customer service or a contact center. Strong computer skills, especially with Microsoft Office, are also important.
