Admin and Finance Intern

This is an internship opportunity for a Project Intern in Administration and Finance with GIZ’s Climate Cluster in Pretoria. The role is a six-month contract position where you will gain hands-on experience in finance, administration, and project support. GIZ works with the South African government on climate change, biodiversity, and youth engagement, and this internship offers a chance to see how these projects run behind the scenes.

Key responsibilities include: - Organizing project files (procurement documents, service contracts, event records) - Updating trackers for contracts, invoices, and deadlines - Assisting with invoice checks, payment follow-ups, and voucher preparation - Supporting meetings (minutes, logistics) and presentation preparation - Managing administrative tasks related to internal controls and GIZ instruments

Requirements: - Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Economics - Experience in office administration or project management (preferred) - Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) - Strong English skills (written and spoken) - High attention to detail and ability to work independently - Teamwork skills with diverse colleagues
