What the job is

This is a role for an Activations Agent at Unifi, a fast-growing financial services company in Nairobi, Kenya. Unifi provides simple and quick personal loans to customers across Africa through online, mobile, and branch channels. The company is known for its strong focus on customer service and uses advanced technology and data to serve its clients better.

What you will do

You will generate and maintain a list of potential customers for sales and telemarketing. You will make outbound calls to promote and sell Unifi’s loan products, aiming to meet set targets. You will complete pre-qualification calls within 24 hours and follow up with clients who were unreachable the next day. You will also encourage clients to visit branches to improve conversion rates and clearly explain the loan process, including eligibility, interest rates, and benefits. Additionally, you will manage web chat during work hours, provide accurate product information, and handle customer complaints. You will prepare daily reports on activation performance and client feedback, document all interactions, and share insights to improve branch accessibility and expansion decisions. You may also participate in marketing activities and contribute to a positive team environment.

What you need

You should have experience in a similar role, preferably in customer service or sales. A diploma in marketing is a plus but not required. You must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong organizational abilities, and a customer-focused approach. Experience working with customer-centric brands and knowledge of financial products will be beneficial. You should be a self-starter, creative, and able to work well in a team. You may need to work on holidays depending on business needs.
