We are looking for a Diesel Mechanic to join our team at Power Construction (Pty) Ltd, a leading company in the construction and building industry. As a Diesel Mechanic, your main job will be to keep our fleet of UD trucks and construction equipment running smoothly. You will fix and service these vehicles, including diagnosing problems, performing repairs, and ensuring they are safe to use. This includes checking and changing oil, testing parts, and performing minor welding when needed. You will also handle breakdowns on-site, complete paperwork like job cards and time sheets, and maintain a clean and organized workspace. Another important part of the job is training and supervising junior workers or learners to help them develop their skills. Safety is very important, so you will ensure everyone follows safety rules and wears the required protective gear.

To qualify for this role, you must be a qualified Diesel Mechanic with a trade certificate and at least 3 years of post-qualification experience. Hands-on experience with UD trucks is essential. A valid driver’s license is also required. Technical skills in construction equipment and workshop procedures are necessary, along with a strong focus on safety and efficiency.
