Workshop Foreman/Junior Service Manager

Leading automotive brand in Sandton is looking for an automotive workshop foreman | junior service manager who can also step in as a technician when needed and junior service manager

Duties and responsibilities:

• Oversee daily workshop operations and step in as a technician when required.
• Manage parts inventory, ensuring compliance with OEM standards.
• Process service claims and warranty submissions accurately and efficiently.
• Handle customer bookings, job costing, and invoicing.
• Conduct stock takes in the parts department to maintain proper inventory control.
• Ensure all work adheres to OEM guidelines and dealer standards.
• Train and mentor workshop staff to improve technical skills and service quality.
• Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through excellent service delivery.

Requirements:

• Qualification: Trade-tested technician (Red Seal preferred).
• Experience: Minimum 3-5 years in a workshop environment, with experience as a Foreman or Senior Technician.
• Technical knowledge: Strong diagnostic and mechanical skills.
• OEM compliance: Familiarity with OEM warranty, service claims, and dealer standards.
• Inventory management: Experience managing parts stock and conducting stock takes.
• Leadership skills: Ability to supervise, train, and support workshop staff.
• Computer literacy: Proficiency in dealership management systems and job costing software.
• Customer focus: Strong communication and problem-solving skills to ensure excellent client service.
