Warehouse Manager
Job Description
You will oversee all warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, inventory management, order fulfilment, despatch, and production.
You will ensure optimal inventory levels, efficient space utilisation, compliance with safety protocols, and timely deliveries. Working closely with team leaders and general warehouse staff, driving a culture of teamwork, efficiency, and continuous improvement to enhance customer satisfaction.
Essential Requirements:
- Matric & a relevant qualification in Logistics, Operations, or Warehousing
- Proven experience in warehouse, production, and procurement roles.
- Experience in the chemical manufacturing sector would be ideal.
- A valid driver’s license, and preferably a forklift license, is required.
- Strong technical knowledge of receiving and despatch procedures, inventory control, and storage optimisation is essential.
- Demonstrate excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and organisational skills, along with the ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing demands.
Key responsibilities include supporting procurement and production management, implementing inventory control measures, supervising warehouse and production operations, enforcing quality control standards, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
You will also focus on team leadership, fostering accountability and professional growth while ensuring seamless customer communication regarding order status and issue resolution.
Additionally, you will identify and implement technological advancements to improve warehouse efficiency and accuracy.
