Job Title: Cloud & Server – Vulnerability Engineer

Role Overview

They are seeking an experienced Cloud & Server Engineer with a strong focus on vulnerability management. This role is critical in identifying, assessing, and prioritising security vulnerabilities across the organisation’s systems. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure timely remediation, strengthening the company’s overall security posture and reducing risk exposure.

You will act as a subject matter expert on security risks and serve as a trusted advisor for security best practices across the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Detect and classify vulnerabilities using automated scanning tools and manual analysis.
• Partner with engineering and operations teams to drive effective remediation.
• Contribute to the organisation’s long-term security and risk strategy.
• Continuously refine vulnerability management processes, tools, and methodologies.
• Provide hands-on remediation support when needed.
• Work alongside governance, risk, and compliance teams to address vulnerabilities and risk scoring.
• Conduct and support penetration testing activities (internal and external).
• Manage and maintain the organisation’s Cyber Threat Intelligence Platform.
• Analyse penetration testing outcomes and coordinate with teams to address identified weaknesses.
• Respond to queries from internal stakeholders on vulnerability management.
• Assist in handling security alerts, incidents, and escalations.
• Review and communicate findings from threat and incident analyses.
• Prepare and present regular metrics on system security, threat trends, and patch management status.

Minimum Requirements

• Relevant Certifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).

Experience

• At least 5 years’ engineering experience in a mission-critical production environment.
• Practical experience with endpoint and agent-based security technologies.
