Job Description


ENVIRONMENT:
TAKE ownership of designing intuitive and engaging experiences for the B2B AI platform fast-growing UK-based SaaS company seeking your creative talent to be its next UX Designer. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you will help to deliver user-centric designs that drive engagement and retention, ensuring the platform is both accessible and effective for customers. You will require a relevant tertiary qualification equivalent to NQF 6 or higher with at least 2 years UX Design work experience – preferably in a SaaS or startup environment and proven experience in user flows, feature prioritisation, wireframing, and prototyping. You must be proficient with Figma & Adobe Creative Suite. A strong portfolio showing UX design projects will be expected.
 
DUTIES:
  • Conduct user research and usability testing to understand user needs, pain points, and behaviours.
  • Lead UX and UI design initiatives, creating wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs.
  • Improve usability across our platform to enhance user engagement and retention.
  • Build upon and evolve the existing design system to ensure consistency and scalability.
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to conceptualise, design, and refine new features.
  • Translate stakeholder briefs into actionable design solutions that align with business goals.
  • Work with complex interactions for the B2B product, ensuring intuitive workflows and seamless customer journeys.
  • Develop and optimise design workflows, streamlining the design process for efficiency and impact.
  • Strengthen the company’s brand principles through UI components and assets.
  • Provide detailed design documentation and work closely with frontend developers to ensure pixel-perfect implementation.
  • Advocate for a user-centric approach, iterating on designs based on user feedback and data insights.
 
REQUIREMENTS:
Qualifications –
  • Tertiary qualification equivalent to NQF 6 or higher.
 
Experience/Skills –
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in UX Design, preferably in a SaaS or startup environment.
  • Strong expertise in usability, information architecture, and interaction design.
  • Proven experience in user flows, feature prioritisation, wireframing, and prototyping.
  • Experience designing for multi-device web applications and responsive design.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Figma and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • A keen eye for aesthetics, details, and UI consistency.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of UX projects.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present and justify design decisions to stakeholders.
  • Native English speaker or business-level proficiency in English.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing user experience design projects.
 
Advantageous –
  • Experience managing, evolving, or building design systems is a plus.
