Underground Fitter – Mining

Responsibilities:

• Perform maintenance and repairs on underground mining equipment such as crushers, conveyor systems, drills, and loaders.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues and breakdowns in a timely manner.
• Install new equipment and machinery according to manufacturer specifications.
• Conduct preventive maintenance tasks to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with other maintenance team members and mine operators to effectively carry out repairs and maintenance activities.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance work performed and equipment inspections.

Requirements:

• Grade 12
• Fitter Trade Test Certificate
• Extensive underground mining experience
• Valid driver’s license
