Temporary Intermediate-Senior Phase Mathematics Teacher

Arrow Academy is looking for a Temporary Intermediate-Senior Phase Mathematics Teacher. The ideal candidate should be able to establish a classroom environment that stimulates positive learning and actively engages learners in the learning process.

REQUIREMENTS

• Possess a Bachelor of Education (Intermediate and Senior Phase).
• 2-4 years of Mathematics teaching experience
• A good command of the English language (in verbal and written formats)
• Afrikaans proficiency is advantageous
• Be registered with SACE.
• Be computer literate.

DUTIES

• Engage in class teaching, including the academic, administrative, educational and disciplinary aspects.
• Ensure all curriculum delivery is in line with 21st-century methodology and practices.
• Demonstrate a sound understanding of and experience with the CAPS curriculum.
• Prepare lessons considering orientation, regional courses, new approaches, techniques, evaluation, aids, etc. in the appropriate fields.
• Set up an innovative, age-appropriate, learner-focused, and inviting classroom(s).
• Organise the physical classroom space in a manner that assures learners that they are safe and have access to all the necessary learning materials.
• Use technology to enhance learning.
• Ensure efficient use of resources and encourage creativity and innovation in curriculum implementation.
• Provide intervention and learner support to students when needed.

The position is based in Centurion.
