Job Description


Hire Resolve’s client, a prominent financial institution known for delivering exceptional banking services, is currently seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Teller and Enquiries Clerk to join their Durban team.

Responsibilities

Teller Processing and Administration

  • Handle cash deposits and withdrawals, EFTs, and internal transfers.
  • Manage account closures and intersystem transfers.
  • Process investment transfers and reversals of fees.
  • Ensure daily balancing of processed work and adherence to security procedures.
  • Update statistics on SharePoint and report suspicious transactions.
  • Scan and upload documentation, including teller reconciliations.
  • Capture EFTs, profit instructions, and debit orders.

Forex Processing

  • Process Forex orders, ensuring compliance with SARB and bank policies.
  • Obtain necessary documentation, confirm appointments, and book rates.
  • Finalize and administer deals through iMal and GTS systems.
  • Balance and secure foreign cash daily.

Enquiries Administration

  • Assist clients with deposit and withdrawal slips and handle transfer requests.
  • Provide statements, IT3Bs, and authorization for ex-branch withdrawals.
  • Update client information and attend to product-related queries.
  • Issue replacement debit cards and ensure a high level of customer service.
  • Perform security checks and assist with Internet Banking and Mobile App registration.

Customer Service

  • Cross-sell the bank’s products and deliver professional client services.
  • Address customer complaints and refer complex requests to the appropriate departments.

Compliance

  • Adhere to internal procedures and regulatory compliance.
  • Verify customer identities for all transactions to maintain compliance.

Requirements

  • Education: Relevant banking qualification.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of general banking experience or equivalent work experience.
  • Knowledge: Proficiency in banking systems and MS Office.
  • Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent customer service, and compliance awareness.
