Technical sales and engineering manager
Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to fill the role of Technical Sales and Engineering Manager. This individual will be responsible for leading a team of engineers and technical sales representatives to drive revenue growth and develop strong relationships with customers. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in engineering, along with proven experience in sales and team management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of sales engineers and technical sales representatives
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets
- Identify new business opportunities and develop relationships with new and existing customers
- Collaborate with the engineering team to provide technical support to customers
- Provide guidance and training to the sales team on technical products and solutions
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities for growth
- Prepare and present sales reports and forecasts to senior management
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field (Master’s degree preferred)
- 5 years of experience in technical sales and business development
- 3 years of experience in an engineering role
- Proven managerial experience
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Knowledge of engineering principles and technical product knowledge
