Background

The position will be based at the Centurion Campus for 2025, and the Krugersdorp Campus from 2026 onwards.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Provide logistical and administrative support for operational systems and procedures
- Departmental administrative duties including student queries, institutional communication and meetings, document management/record-keeping, appointments, and claims
- Provide administrative support for the management of WIL including:
>Placement, tracking and monitoring of students in schools/colleges/industries
>Completion of documentation for WIL
>Management and maintenance of databases of partner schools/colleges/industries
>Management of assessor claim forms and travel claims
>Management of a database of final assessment reports and attendance registers from school/ colleges/industries - Assist with manual and electronic filing activities as part of the academic calendar cycle
- Assist with organisation of events and workshops
- Participate in department training and development activities
- Ad hoc student support tasks as required
Minimum Requirements | Qualifications:
- National Senior Certificate AND post NSC qualification (certificate, diploma) preferably in Education
- IT qualifications (e.g. Microsoft Expert. ECDL etc) would be an advantage
- Knowledge of Learning Management Systems (e.g. Canvas) and Student Information Management Systems (e.g. my STADIO)
- Related work experience in an educational environment
- IT skills including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Excellent organisational and project management skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to communicate with both staff and students and to ensure confidentiality
- Ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines
- Knowledge of the higher education sector in both postgraduate and technical vocational environment
- Previous experience managing a large student body or similar high-volume responsibilities is essential
