EasyPay – System/Application Support Engineer

Job Specification  

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Interpret application Logfile / Traces
  • Resolve Value Added Services Related issues which, may involve modifying code,
  • Configuration changes, settlement, or reconciliation configuration issues
  • Create and develop mechanisms in resolving day to day functions.
  • Manage data for clients and facilitate reporting.
  • Write accompanying documentation for created Processes.
  • System analyses relating to bugs and enhancements.
  • Implement solution and deliverables.
  • Monitor Systems and stem health.
  • Provide possible solutions to business for queries they may have.
  • System design for new clients coming on board.
  • Managing and testing Disaster recovery solutions

 

To be considered for this position, the following requirements must be met:

  • Matric / Grade 12 qualification
  • Diploma/Certificate in Information Systems or Computer Science
  • 2 years application support within a highly pressurised environment

Technical Competencies:

  • SQL, T-SQL, MSSQL
  • Computer Systems
  • Shell scripting
  • XML knowledge
  • Windows knowledge advantageous

Behavioural Competencies:

  • Ability to work in a high-pressure environment.
  • Be able to independently when needed.
  • Communications Skills
