Job Description


ENVIRONMENT:
THE numerical expertise of a highly meticulous & solutions-driven Supply Accountant with 5-7 years’ experience is sought by a dynamic Energy Specialist to fill a 6-month contract role. You will oversee all accounting functions for a standalone supply entity within the group. You will ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial statements, manage monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting, and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations. This role involves managing financial reporting, reconciliations, and providing key insights to senior management.
 
DUTIES:
  • Accounts Payable and Receivable Management.
  • Bank Reconciliations and Payments. 
  • VAT Declarations and Compliance. 
  • Financial Accounting and Reporting. 
  • Compliance and Internal Controls.  
  • Process Improvement and Automation.
  • Stakeholder Coordination and Support.  
  • Ad-hoc Support and Reporting.
 
REQUIREMENTS:
  • 5-7 Years of experience in Accounting or Financial Reporting, with at least 2 years in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles (IFRS/GAAP) and financial reporting standards.
  • Experience with managing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting cycles.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (preferably SAP) and Advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience in preparing financial statements, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
 
Advantageous –
  • Experience in managing financial accounting for a standalone entity within a group structure.
  • Experience with tax compliance and statutory reporting for a standalone entity.
 
ATTRIBUTES:
  • Ensure all financial data and reports are accurate and complete.
  • Able to identify financial trends, variances, and key insights for management.
  • Clearly communicate financial performance and insights to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
  • Identify discrepancies and resolve issues in accounting processes and financial reports.
  • Effectively manage multiple accounting tasks and meet tight deadlines.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to enhance accounting processes and systems for efficiency and accuracy.
