Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and organized Junior Logistics Executive to oversee staff transportation operations. The role involves coordinating, managing, and optimizing transportation services to ensure reliable and efficient staff mobility. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities
- Transportation Coordination
- Plan and manage daily staff transportation schedules to ensure timely pick-ups and drop-offs.
- Coordinate with drivers and transportation vendors to address any operational challenges.
- Monitor vehicle routes and optimize them for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Create routes as per the requirements of business ensuring no wastage.
- Liaise with third-party transportation service providers to maintain high service quality.
- Ensure compliance with contract terms and address any service-related issues.
- Ensure all transportation services adhere to safety regulations and company policies.
- Conduct regular checks on vehicles and drivers to confirm compliance with legal and operational standards.
- Serve as the point of contact for staff inquiries and complaints related to transportation.
- Resolve logistical issues promptly to minimize disruptions in service as per guidelines and company policy.
- Track and report on real time transportation- performance metrics.
- Provide regular updates to assistant management on logistics operations.
- Maintain accurate records of real time performance and employee challenges.
Qualifications and Skills
- Education: Minimum grade 12 Qualification.
- In Good Health: Due to the work environment, do we require a candidate with good health.
- Experience: 1-3 years of experience in logistics, transportation (experience in staff transport is a plus).
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in logistics management software and tools.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills for reporting and data analysis.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Other Requirements:
- Knowledge of local transportation laws and regulations.
- Flexibility to work rotational shifts/Late shifts (24/7 operation)
Working Conditions
- Office-based with occasional field visits to monitor transportation operations.
- May require working extended hours during peak times or in case of logistical challenges.
