Software Development Manager (C#)

An IT solutions provider specialising in innovative software development for the insurance and financial services industry is looking to hire a skilled software developer with strong expertise in C# and a passion for leadership. This role is a unique opportunity to lead a team of developers, driving impactful projects within a forward-thinking environment that encourages new ideas and solutions.

In this role, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing activities related to the design, development, testing, implementation, and maintenance of application software.

Requirements:

• Five years’ experience in an IT environment, with experience in:
  • The financial services industry
  • Financial transaction processing systems
  • Managing a team of at least ten in-house software developers, possibly with authority delegated to team leaders
• Ten years’ hands-on software development experience
• Two years’ exposure to the short-term insurance industry
• Proficiency in C# and SQL Server, including development toolsets, automated testing tools, and source code management
• Strong knowledge of the software development life cycle models and information security concepts
• Familiarity with technology environments, including programming, hardware, networks, telecommunications, and operations.

Qualification:

• Honours degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
