What we are looking for: We are seeking an experienced social media manager to lead our brand’s social media presence and engagement efforts.
What you will do:
Micro-merchant account management
- Oversee different brands in the micro-merchant division
- Manage relationships directly with brands, ensuring social media efforts align with brand goals
- Implement and monitor a social media strategy to boost engagement across all channels
Content creation
- Conceptualise content tailored to our brands for platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, and TikTok
Copywriting
- Write engaging social media copy that resonates with audiences and strengthens brand presence
Design and production
- Manage design and production of social media content, collaborating closely with the design team
- Use Canva or other tools to assist with design if you have experience
Content organisation and planning
- Organise and manage content and strategies with tools to maintain a streamlined approach
Content strategy
- Develop and execute monthly content plans, ensuring consistency and strategic alignment across all social platforms
Scheduling and management
- Schedule and publish content, primarily on Facebook and Instagram
- Track performance, analyse data, and adjust strategies to optimise results
Community management
- Respond to messages and comments, fostering a positive community and enhancing interaction
Reporting
- Prepare detailed social media performance reports with insights and recommendations
Teamwork
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, sharing ideas for improvement and contributing to overall marketing tasks
- Manage communication with our vendor database via SMS, push notifications, and till slip messaging
Stay updated on industry trends
- Keep abreast of the latest social media trends, algorithms, and best practices
What you must have:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field
- Minimum of two years’ experience in social media management
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing social media strategies that enhance engagement and brand awareness
- Strong knowledge of all major social media platforms, best practices, and analytical tools
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Creative, innovative, and solutions-oriented mindset
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Familiarity with social media management tools
