Enhance and expand key accounts; identify and secure new business opportunities to boost revenue and client base

  • Drive growth in key accounts, consistently exceeding previous fiscal year’s achievements in line with the company’s budget.
  • Deliver superior agency and client service, offering tactical direction and innovative solutions.
  • Proactively manage and strategise sales activities for optimum results.
  • Seek out and secure new business opportunities to enhance company profitability.
  • Develop and implement strategic solutions for clients, aligning with their broader media and strategy plans.
  • Ensure the retention of existing clients by consistently exceeding their expectations with high-quality, impactful work.

Manage client relationships

  • Clearly comprehend and communicate client strategic and operational requirements.
  • Consistently achieve high client satisfaction, measured through targeted feedback, reviews, and campaign responses.
  • Continuously adapt and adjust approaches to benefit client and company needs.
  • Actively communicate and network across all company departments to facilitate effective problem-solving.
  • Establish, maintain, and develop all business relationships.
  • Skilfully negotiate with clients to optimise proposals, ensuring alignment with both client and company objectives.

Manage contracts or sales agreements

  • Manage requests from clients for contract change details or requirements.
  • Collaborate with the legal department to review contract parameters, ensuring legal compliance.
  • Facilitate and implement necessary amendments to existing contracts as required.
  • Proactively manage contract renewals, ensuring completion well before their expiry dates.

Reporting and administration

  • Accurately complete and submit proposals, cost schedules, contracts, financial documents, CI’s, and commission claims in a timely manner.
  • Maintain CRM compliance, manage activity logs and pipelines, and prevent data duplication.
  • Discuss CRM report contents at weekly sales meetings and present any additional relevant information.
  • Report planned client interactions or site visits to the sales manager in advance.

Requirements

  • Matric essential
  • A formal qualification in media would be advantageous

Experience

  • Minimum three years of experience in media sales, ideally in a similar environment.
  • Experience in the outdoor industry is beneficial for market insight.
