Skilled Artisan/HVAC Technician

Our client is looking for an experienced HVAC Artisan/Technician to join their team in Pretoria, GP. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, servicing, and repair of HVAC systems, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and safety standards. The ideal candidate should have a strong technical background, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems according to specifications and industry standards.
• Diagnose and resolve faults, including issues with thermostats, ductwork, and refrigerant leaks.
• Conduct inspections and testing of electrical systems and components related to HVAC applications.
• Perform routine maintenance to optimize system performance and efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and quality standards.
• Identify and address any non-conformance issues effectively.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas, including plant rooms and filters.

Requirements:

• Grade 12 certificate.
• Trade Test in Refrigeration, Air Conditioning, or a related HVAC field.
• Relevant qualification from OTTC, ACRA, or N-Stream in Mechanical or Electrical fields.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in HVAC installation, maintenance, and repair.
• Expertise in HVAC systems, including split units, VRF/VRV systems, chilled water systems, ventilation, and refrigeration units.
• Certification in the safe handling of refrigerant gases.
• Strong understanding of electrical and control circuits.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
