Service Delivery Backup Engineer
Job Description
This role reports to the Service Delivery Manager and offers a unique opportunity to monitor the Veritas Backup Infrastructure daily and manage Veritas Backup Clients.
You will have a minimum NQF 4 (Matric) qualification and a Veritas Administrator certification.
You should also possess 2-5 years of Veritas Backup experience and relevant skills, including A+ / N+ or CompTIA IT fundamentals, vendor certification, and proficiency in MS Office.
Responsibilities include daily backup status checks, managing backup failures, liaising with customers and senior engineers, and compiling regular reports.
The perfect fit for this role will have excellent communication skills, the ability to work independently and under pressure, and a strong attention to detail.
A valid Code 8 driver’s license, reliable transport, and a stable home internet connection are essential.
