Senior Travel Designer

PURPOSE STATEMENT
To generate and grow sales whilst maintaining required GP%, good agent relationships and excellent customer service by offering excellent itineraries to meet and exceed agent & guests expectations. To secure, cost and present product to the customer accurately, efficiently, timeously and with zero errors. To offer fist line assistance to intermediate and junior consultants in the team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Reservations, Quoting and invoicing (Groups and FITs)
• Yield management
• Financial control of debtors in timeous manner
• Maintain & grow relationships with travel agents and tour operators
• Professional and efficient stakeholder communication & liaison
• General Administration
• Perform other duties as required by supervisor

 REQUIREMENTS

• Namibian citizen/Namibian permanent residence
• 3- 5 years tourism & reservations experience / Diploma in Travel and Tourism will be an advantage
• Passion and understanding of the tourism industry
• Good knowledge of Namibian tourist attractions
• Good computer literacy specifically in MS Word, Excel & Outlook / Tourplan & Wilderness Window will be an advantage.
• Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English. Additional European language would be an advantage.
• Willingness & commitment to partake in ongoing training and development
• Must think logically with attention to detail
• Ability to work under pressure and in a dynamic environment
• Good stress management skills
• Results orientated team player
• Valid Code 08 driver’s license will be an advantage
