Requirements:
• BSc/BTech in Quantity Surveying or similar relevant qualification
• Minimum 8 years of quantity surveying experience working for a large-sized contractor.
• Minimum of 2 years managerial experience.
• Experience working on commercial projects of values larger than R300 million.
• Estimating and procurement experience.
• Extensive knowledge of contracts and commercial law principles.
• Proficiency in BuildSmart and CCS Candy.
Duties/Responsibilities:
• Manage a team of Quantity Surveyors
• Effectively execute the project certification life cycle and final account.
• Execute and monitor all cost control principles.
• Execute the relevant project contractual claims.
• Understand, apply and manage common and contract law principles.
• Ensure a clear understanding of the customer requirements and provide astute alternatives as an expert advisor where necessary.
