Hire Resolve’s client, a leading construction firm renowned for delivering complex infrastructure and civil engineering projects across South Africa, is currently seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic team in the Western Cape. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience managing high-value civil projects, especially within the water and wastewater infrastructure sectors.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of the financial and contractual functions on high-value (R500+ million) infrastructure projects.

  • Prepare accurate monthly valuations and cost reports using CCS (Candy) software.

  • Oversee contract administration in line with GCC contract conditions.

  • Conduct risk analysis, cost control, and forecasting throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure alignment between design, contract, and financial goals.

  • Provide input for procurement and subcontractor management.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 8–10 years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the civil engineering industry.

  • Proven experience managing large-scale infrastructure projects (R500+ million).

  • Proficient in CCS (Candy) software.

  • Strong understanding and experience with GCC contracts.

  • Civil engineering experience is essential, with a preference for water or wastewater infrastructure projects.

  • BSc or BTech in Quantity Surveying or a related field.

  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
