This role is responsible for the effective day to day short and long term planning of aircraft maintenance for the Air fleet and creating the required work packs and delivering those work packs to the MRO by the KPI dates.
Forecasting of short term and long term maintenance, in respect to required Critical parts and rotables required.
Requisitioning such critical parts and rotables in advance as set by the KPI. Compiling work packs and delivering to the MRO as scheduled by the KPI. Requisitioning parts and consumables at the time of work pack delivery to the MRO.
Assisting and processing technical records to prevent technical records backlogs when required by the Manager Technical Records & Planning.

Must be a good team player while able to act under one’s own initiative when required, and have a sound understanding of the planning functions of an aviation company.
TECHNICAL ATTRIBUTES
- Knowledgeable and skilful in using IAS and CAMP.
- Should have training or experience within Aviation Industry or within similar work environment for at least 5 years.
- Display a sound understanding of corporate business objectives and plans including computerized systems used in aviation industry and or similar technical records maintenance work environments.
- Have some hands on technical records management experience with similar organisations and computer systems.

- Be hard working and trustworthy and to be able to work with minimal supervision.
- The ability to sense and maintain a high level of customer service and industry best practice standards, including a sound understanding of the requirements of the operational needs of a busy airline.

- Technical records and continuing airworthiness management regulations, and; Statutory requirements- under Part 119–all regulatory parts with regards to continued airworthiness is complied with.
- ACCOUNTABILITIES/KPI’s
- Responsible for all short and long term planning and supervision.
- Produce and deliver ATR checks with respect to the timelines in the CAMM manual.
- Produce and deliver Dash-8 checks with respect to the timelines in the CAMMmanual.
- Ensure the forecasts are sent out and reviewed every 3 months with the utilization rate.
- To ensure all pre-loads are listed for the work packs sent and updated every month to capture maximum part usage.
- Ensure all parts and consumables are requisitioned as above KPI times for the ATR and Dash-8 aircraft.
- Deferrals are managed and tracked- KPI for this is paramount

Candidate Requirements
- Must have IAS and RAAS training and experience
- At least 5 years’ experience in tech records or maintenance planning with 3 years supervisory experience.
- Have high level of computer literacy
- Knowledge of CAR Parts 91, 43, 119, 121 and 125.
- Must be physically fit Must have good customer skills
- Must be able to understand and communicate with people
