Senior Mechanical Fire Engineer Full Time NEW

Requirements:
• BEng/BSc/BTech Mechanical Engineering
• Registered with ECSA as a Professional Engineer/Technologist.
• Minimum 5 years of experience specializing in fire engineering.
• Data centre experience advantageous.

Duties & Responsibilities:
• Consulting engineering and project management for all fire safety and fire system design aspects of projects.
• Develop fire safety plans for evacuation, way finding, firefighting equipment, fire rated construction, escape widths, etc. including the use of value-added methods such as computer-aided hydraulic design, CFD analysis, evacuation modelling etc.
• Design fire detection, sprinkler systems, gas suppression, smoke control systems, etc. including the use of value-added methods such as computer-aided hydraulic design, CFD analysis, etc.
• Prepare tender documents and specifications for various fire protection systems and adjudication reports etc.
• Site inspections and construction monitoring.
• Financial management of contracts, fee proposals, invoicing, etc.
