Our client, a key player in the European plastics recycling industry since 1970, is seeking a skilled Senior Maintenance Technician to join their team in Zeewolde, Netherlands. As a Senior Maintenance Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring optimal and efficient production processes. You’ll leverage your expertise to support fellow technicians, enhance their electrical skills, and tackle a diverse range of maintenance tasks on industrial machinery.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Utilizing your extensive knowledge to mentor and guide colleagues in enhancing their electrical proficiencies.
  • Collaborating effectively with fellow technicians to achieve seamless and efficient production operations.
  • Conducting thorough (preventive) maintenance on a variety of factory machines.
  • Expertly troubleshooting electrical malfunctions and implementing effective solutions.
  • Maintaining the highest standards of safety in all tasks performed.
  • Providing crucial support to technicians during breakdown services, and when necessary, delegating electrical tasks to certified electricians.
  • Personally undertaking a range of electrical tasks.
  • Interpreting and utilizing schematics, drawings, and manuals to create, install, and connect both simple and complex circuits.
  • Working with a broad spectrum of technologies including installation technology, control technology, pumps, motors, and mechanical engineering.

What you’ll need to bring to the team:

  • A solid educational foundation with a Matric / N4 qualification.
  • A recognized Millwright Trade Test.
  • An N1 – N6 qualification will be highly advantageous.
  • A valid South African Drivers’ License.
  • Fluency in Afrikaans is essential and mandatory.
  • Completion of a 3-year apprenticeship.
