Job Description


ENVIRONMENT:
A leading Automotive Tech company seeks the technical expertise of a Senior Linux Engineer to take the lead on projects while creatively solving design problems. This person will be working and interfacing with a wide range of
people within the organization across our South Africa, US and India offices. The ideal candidate must have good engineering common sense, be someone who takes initiative and is accountable for their function within the company. You MUST HAVE a Software/Engineering Degree, 5+ years suitable work experience, Linux skills and C experience.
 
DUTIES:
  • Creatively solve design problems (Create feature requests and design documentation and implementation).
  • Debug code-related issues.
  • Update and optimize existing code bases.
 
REQUIREMENTS:
MUST-HAVEs –
  • Software/Engineering Degree.
  • Experience: 5+ years.
  • Linux skills.
  • C experience.
 
Other –
  • Able to manage multiple projects / multitasking / time management.
  • Able to manage themselves to some degree / takes initiative.
  • Problem solving.
 
Nice to haves –
  • Git/ GitHub experience.
  • Interpreting datasheets. 
  • Electronic hardware experience.
