New opportunity: Senior DevOps Engineer at an on-demand delivery and digital tech shop in South Africa, owned by a leading retail group. The role involves deploying product updates, identifying production issues, and implementing integrations to meet customer needs. You will collaborate with a top team of developers and engineers, ensuring software development aligns with established processes and performs as intended.
Requirements:
- Tertiary IT qualification
- Certified Azure Developer certification (preferable)
- At least five years’ experience as a DevOps engineer and an additional five years in an SRE or similar technical role
- Proficiency in development, testing, and automation tools
- Skilled in GitHub, Kubernetes, Docker
- Understanding of IT infrastructure (Azure or AWS)
- Process management expertise, including optimising DevOps operations
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Familiarity with C# .NET stack is beneficial
- Team player with attention to detail, the ability to offer direction, and say no when necessary
- SLA management skills
Position details:
- Permanent hybrid role based in Cape Town
- Cost-to-company salary: R1.08 million per annum (negotiable based on experience)
