Job Description

My client a leader in the Electric Motor industry, is looking for an experienced Technical Sales Representative to join there Durban branch.

The ideal candidate for this person would be someone with a go getter attitude, someone who is self-motivated, confident and professional, someone with experience in the electrical motors industry is essential.

Duties

Customer Service for new and repair facility

• Handling telephonic enquiries.
• Providing product information to existing and potential customers.
• Providing verbal and typed quotations to customers.
• Following up on quotations.
• Providing guidance to customers in the use/application of Marathon Products.
• Entering of sales order on our operating system.
• Compiling of documentation required for projects and tenders.
• Arranging and attending of sales events.
• Updating quote schedule on daily basis.
• Forwarding order acknowledgement to customers and sales representatives.
• Follow up on all weekly back orders and promises kept.
• Focused on reducing the slow-moving stock in the branch.

Sales

• Excellent customer service resulting in increasing of sales.
• The position has direct contact with customers, and Marathon internal departments and it will be required to assist and take ownership of customers and other Sales Representatives commercial and related queries when requested.
• Maintain working relationships with existing clients to ensure that they receive exceptional service and to identify potential new sales opportunities
• The success of Marathon is based on this position’s effective handling of internal and external customer needs
• Excellent communication skills, proficient in the English Language Written and Oral, must be able to legibly read and write reports.
• Eagerness to learn about our products.
• Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines to ensure customer commitments are met.

Requirements

• Grade 12 (Matric)
• 1 – 2 years’ experience within an Sales or Internal sales environment.
• Experience within electrical motors industry.
• Driver’s License required
• Must be PC literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
