Sales Engineer

Overview & Key Responsibilities
The Sales Engineer will be responsible for the growth in sales by bringing online profitable new business covering the full range of products in all related markets in accordance with pre-set targets on a monthly, as well as an annual basis. Maintains and services the company’s current customer base.
Key areas of responsibility for this role would include, but are not limited to:
1. Growing company sales in line with agreed annual sales targets as well as growth within the allocated area;
2. Responsible for account maintenance and customer satisfaction;
3. Growing Air Products’ market presence through various marketing initiatives;
4. Administrative duties related to reporting and document completion;
5. Responsible for active personal and professional development within the sales environment.
Essential Requirements
1. A minimum of Matric with Maths and Science or equivalent;
2. Recognised Certificate / Diploma / Degree in Sales & Marketing and /or Engineering sales
background;
3. Minimum 3 years of sales experience in Industrial, Technical, Medical or Gas industry;
4. Must be computer-literate and proficient in the MS Office suite;
5. Proven track record in negotiating at high levels and building strong customer relationships;
6. Strong attention to detail and report writing skills;
7. A Valid unendorsed driver’s license and own reliable transport.
