Robotics and Automation Technician – Durban
Job Description
A reputable engineering solutions provider specializing in industrial automation and robotics systems, is currently seeking a skilled Robotics and Automation Technician to join their dynamic team in Durban. This role is ideal for a professional with a strong background in PLC programming and SCADA system development within a manufacturing or process automation environment.
Responsibilities:

Design, program, and maintain Rockwell Allen-Bradley and Schneider PLC systems.

Develop, configure, and support FactoryTalk and Adroit SCADA systems.

Conduct diagnostics, troubleshooting, and modifications of automation systems.

Support installation and commissioning of robotic and automation solutions.

Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize automation performance.

Ensure compliance with safety standards and documentation of all programming changes.
Requirements:

Minimum of 5 years’ hands-on experience in automation and robotics.

Proficiency in Rockwell – Allen Bradley / Schneider PLC programming.

Experience with FactoryTalk and/or Adroit SCADA development.

Strong technical troubleshooting skills in an industrial environment.

Relevant technical qualification or trade certification in electronics, mechatronics, or automation.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
