RETAIL MERCHANDISE PLANNER/ALLOCATOR

Our client seeks to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced retail merchandise planner/allocator to join their team. Must have matric with a relevant tertiary qualification (BDegree would be advantageous) and at least 3 years direct experience in a similar role.
Responsibilities Include:
- Managing order books for the season
- Ensure that proper inventory levels are allocated to supply new store openings
- Execute the release of merchandise inventory from the distribution centers to supply stores
- Develop allocation strategies for specific plan levels and execute physical allocations
- Maintain appropriate inventory levels based on sales trend, forecast and store size
- Collaborate with the buying team and distribution centers on incoming and outgoing merchandise deals
- Build strong relationships with DC inbound, DC outbound, stores and District Team Leaders
- Develop knowledge of store attribute performance and trends through data analysis and field communication
- Loading of promotions and markdowns
