About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team in Cape Town’s Foreshore district. This role is ideal for a results-driven professional who thrives on ensuring construction projects are delivered on budget, on time, and to the highest standards. You will play a key role in cost management, procurement, and contract administration while working closely with architects, contractors, and clients.
Key Responsibilities

Prepare accurate cost estimates, budgets, and financial reports for construction projects.

Monitor and control costs throughout the project lifecycle.

Assist with tender documentation, evaluate bids, and negotiate with contractors and suppliers.

Maintain detailed cost records, track expenditures, and highlight potential financial risks.

Draft, review, and manage contracts; handle interim payments and final accounts.

Assess and mitigate project risks, ensuring compliance with contractual and legal obligations.

Support quality assurance by maintaining high standards across cost and contract processes.
Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.

Experience: Minimum 5 years in a similar role, preferably in commercial construction.

Certifications: RICS, SACQSP, or equivalent professional membership (preferred).

Technical Skills: Proficiency in cost estimating and project management software (e.g., CostX, Procore, MS Project).

Knowledge: Strong understanding of construction processes, standards, and local market practices.

Soft Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, analytical, and organizational skills.

Valid driver’s license (advantageous)
