QUALITY CONTROLLER
Job Description
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Inspecting, monitoring and testing food products to ensure that products are manufactured in accordance with requirements and specifications
- Maintaining food safety, quality assurance and sanitation programs
- Perform effective quality checks on incoming fish and completing logs and reports
- Maintaining and compliance of standards within the department such as HACCP, OHASA, etc
- Assisting with regulatory audits
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Matric advantageous
- 2 or more proven experience in a similar role within a food related industry
- Knowledge of Food safety; HACCP; GMPs; PRPs
- Must be punctual and reliable
- Self-starter and positive attitude
- Good time management with tasks
- Hands-on approach
- Understanding and adhering to the company’s Health and Safety standards
- Willingness to work overtime and weekends when needed
- Good health and energetic, able to work in inclement temperatures
- Work well in a team and follow instructions
- Sober habits and clear criminal record
