JOB PROFILE 

PROJECT MANAGER – (3-year contract only)

Requirements  

  • Relevant NQF 7 qualifications in education, humanities or project management  
  • Minimum of 5 year’s work experience in a management capacity   
  • Advanced computer literacy 
  • Must demonstrate extensive work experience in a project management environment  
  • Must demonstrate exposure to managing project budgets, expenditure and risk 
  • Must be proficient in all skills development legislation, policies and processes 
  • Must have a valid driver’s license 

Key Performance Areas 

  • Perform the project leadership role on a Turnkey basis 
  • Perform the primary customer relations function with the Funder 
  • Manage and develop the project team corporately and individually 
  • Achieve the performance and financial targets of the approved project  
  • Operationalise the project approval, including preparing draft project & budget plans, learner recruitment strategies, draft tender specifications for service provider appointments and draft SLAs for successful service providers 
  • Maintain compliance to the funder’s quality assurance standards 
  • Implement and automate seamless, modern and cutting-edge process flows 
  • Establish, maintain and achieve adherence to a quality management system 
  • Manage training providers to maintain compliance with appointment conditions and ETQA’s quality assurance standards 
  • Oversee the learner recruitment, contracting and induction process 
  • Oversee the learner communication, support and management process and achievement of exceptional learner satisfaction levels 
  • Oversee the sourcing, assessment and selection of suitable training facilities  
  • Design and implement a M & E process flow 
  • Oversee the sourcing, assessment and selection of suitable workplaces  
  • Provide secretariat and coordination services to the Project Technical Committee  
  • Identify risks, advise mitigation strategies and take remedial action  
  • Responsible for quality assurance of reporting data and any submission or report 
  • Compile monthly status reports for the client and detailed draft progress reports to the funder
