Project Engineer
Job Description
You will oversee the end-to-end execution of petrochemical projects, working in tandem with the Engineering Project Manager.
This role demands a solid grasp of industry standards, including the OHS Act, ASME B31, SANS, and ASME VIII, and intermediate proficiency in MS Project and AutoCAD.
You will be instrumental in strategic project planning, stakeholder coordination, design management, and contractor oversight, ensuring projects meet stringent timelines, budgets, and technical specifications.
You will hold a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering, be a registered professional engineer with ECSA, and have a Project Management Diploma.
Over ten years of experience in the petroleum industry, with at least five years in project management, is essential.
Preferred qualifications include experience with OHS Act compliance and familiarity with standards such as ASME B31 for piping, SANS 347, and SANS 10089-1.
Proficiency in Excel, Word, MS Project, and AutoCAD is expected, as well as the ability to travel frequently to various sites.
Strong written and verbal communication skills are crucial, as is the ability to interact effectively with senior management and prioritise tasks within a multi-disciplinary team environment.
