Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU.
- Monitor and manage patient conditions, including administering medication and treatments.
- Operate and maintain specialized ICU equipment with precision and care.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic patient care.
- Provide emotional support to patients and their families during challenging times.
- Document all care activities accurately and in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Adhere to infection control protocols and ensure a safe clinical environment.
Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Nursing with a valid SANC registration as a Professional Nurse.
- Must have a Critical Care Diploma to qualify.
- ICU qualification and/or significant experience in an intensive care setting.
- Proven ability to handle complex medical cases with a calm and professional demeanor.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.
- Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with industry best practices.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including nights and weekends.
