Production Manager NEW

A leading plastics and packaging manufacturing company in Ormonde, Johannesburg, is seeking an experienced Production Manager to oversee and optimize its production operations. Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee daily production operations to meet production targets and deadlines.
• Develop, implement, and monitor production schedules for various packaging and plastic products.
• Lead and mentor production teams to ensure high performance, safety, and adherence to quality standards.
• Identify process inefficiencies and implement improvements to optimize productivity and reduce waste.
• Coordinate with maintenance and quality teams to minimize downtime and ensure product quality.
• Monitor raw material usage and manage inventory levels effectively.
• Maintain accurate production records and generate reports for management.
• Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and regulatory standards within the facility.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; tertiary qualification in Production Management, Engineering, or related field is advantageous.
• Proven experience as a Production Manager in a manufacturing environment, ideally in plastics, packaging, or FMCG.
• Strong understanding of production processes, workflow optimization, and operational planning.
• Excellent leadership, team management, and communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality standards.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
