Procurement & Import Controller NEW
Job Description
A dynamic e-commerce company in the electronics and 3D printing industry is looking for an experienced Procurement & Import Controller with a strong background in procurement processes and international imports to join their team in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal. The ideal candidate will be highly organised, detail-oriented, and proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, and Excel.
Responsibilities:

Manage purchase requests and RFQs.

Source and negotiate pricing with local and international suppliers.

Ensure timely delivery and accurate documentation of orders.

Oversee logistics for incoming shipments and resolve discrepancies.

Research and source new products.
-
Handle customer requests, marketing lists, and help desk queries.

Manage damaged goods, warranty replacements, and stock forecasting.

Maintain and build supplier relationships.

Update product information and documentation.

Onboard new suppliers and freight companies.
-
Communicate and negotiate with freight agents; manage import documentation.

Support after-sales and customer service regarding product returns and quality issues.

Collaborate with internal teams to meet procurement needs.

Engage with large clients and resellers for procurement forecasts.
Requirements:

Proven experience in procurement and import management.

Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.

Proficient in Odoo or similar ERP systems.

Knowledge of HS codes and customs regulations.

Excellent organisational and documentation skills.
-
Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
