Precision Mechanic / Toolmaker Opportunity

Are you a skilled Precision Mechanic / Tool Technician with a passion for your craft? An exciting opportunity awaits you in Dronten, Flevoland, Netherlands! We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our team and contribute to the manufacturing, overhauling, and maintenance of complex tools, ensuring optimal performance of our production lines.

Responsibilities:

  • Read tool or product drawings and KC form stamps.
  • Determine the most efficient machining method in consultation.
  • Operate conventional machining tools (lathe and milling) / grinding.
  • Create auxiliary tools.
  • Fit, adjust, polish, and assemble pre-machined parts into tools.
  • Test tools on production machines under production conditions.
  • Inspect the first product to verify tool compliance with requirements.
  • Modify tools in consultation with the head of technical service and draftsman/designer.
  • Resolve tool malfunctions during startup and production.
  • Be willing to work in 2-shift or staggered shift schedules.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of MTS level degree in mechanical engineering (WTB), or LTS with additional training and several years of experience, preferably in a tool or model-making environment (a plus, not a must).
  • Passion for the craft and eagerness to learn are more important than formal qualifications.
  • Knowledge of various machining and forming techniques.
  • Mastery of the craft of mold making, with a drive to create tools that work optimally for your colleagues.
  • Experience and knowledge in toolmaking for stamping processes.
  • Familiarity with mechanical operations such as surface/profile grinding, turning, milling, precision fitting, polishing (manual and machine), and using tools like calipers, micrometers, and gauges to measure and inspect tools and first products.
  • Ability to take responsibility for efficient work methods, proper tool operation, accurate product dimensions, determining press parameters, and carrying out calibration procedures.
  • Independent, structured, and precise work style with a strong “get the job done” mentality.
  • Intrinsic motivation to prioritize and provide safe solutions in all situations.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
