Plant Field Operator
Job Description
The Plant Field Operator reports to the Shift Supervisor and is responsible for control and monitoring of the field operations of the plant and day-to-day operations of the tank farm.

LOCATION
Umbogintwini,, Kwa Zulu Natal
SALARY
R300 K to R360 K per annum
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Controls the Field Operations of the plant and tank farm
- Check and report plant operating conditions and reports abnormalities on faulty equipment
- Analyses plant and product samples and preparation of chemical and product batches
- Assists with the preparations of the plant work clearance permits and monitoring of contractors working on the plant
- Inspections and filling of road tanker / ISO-Tank
- Maintains a good working relationship with all personnel
- Acts as a Panel Operator upon request
- Controls the housekeeping and safety of the field section of the plant
- Compliance with the ISO 9001, ISO 14001
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Matric with NQF4 and above in Chemical Plant Operation and minimum 10 years working, experience in continuous petrochemical/ continuous process chemical plant operation (not batch plants or operations), or
- Matric with National N6 Certificate in Chemical Engineering or National Diploma in Chemical Engineering, and minimum 5 years working experience in continuous petrochemical/ continuous process chemical plant operation (not batch plants or operations).
- or BTech Chemical Engineering, and minimum 3 years working experience in continuous petrochemical/ continuous process chemical plant operation (not batch plants or operations)
- Worked on a continuous process chemical plant / continuous petrochemical process plant (Not batch plants or batch process operations).
