Plant Controller – Fixed Term
Job Description
Fixed-Term Contract for One Year. You will provide financial and administrative support to the Plant Manager Plant in Port Shepstone.
Reporting functionally to the Project Finance Controller, you will oversee budgeting, cost forecasting, creditors, debtors, and financial reporting for the plant.
Essential Requirements:
- SAQA-accredited diploma or degree in Accounting or Administration.
- At least 3-5 years of experience in cost accounting in the manufacturing sector.
- Proficiency in SAP ERP is essential.
- Advanced computer literacy in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and effective communication are critical to success in this role.
Key responsibilities include preparing and managing annual and quarterly budgets, processing monthly revenue invoices, monitoring and analyzing cost trends, and generating financial reports such as cost, labour, revenue, and alternative fuel usage reports.
Additional duties include overseeing intercompany transfers, insurance claims, and petty cash management.
