Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement long-term mine plans to optimize production.
- Coordinate with geologists, mining engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate resource estimates and mine designs
- Monitor and evaluate mining progress to identify potential bottlenecks and make necessary adjustments to meet production targets
- Develop short-term mine plans to guide daily operations and maximize productivity
- Implement best practices for mine planning and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
- Manage a team of mine planners and provide guidance and support as needed
Requirements:
- Grade 12
- Degree/Diploma in Mining Engineering or equivalent
- Valid Blasting Certificate (Coal)
- 6 – 7 years’ experience in mine planning (Long-term)
- Experience in scheduling and planning software
- Valid Driver’s License
