Job Description


Hire Resolve’s client, a major financial services company, is seeking a Payroll Administrator to join their team based in Pretoria. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the end-to-end payroll process for the Group, working closely with the Finance and HR Teams.

Responsibilities

Philosophy

  • Ensure payroll information is always accurate and verified before processing.

Processes

  • Process monthly payroll transactions (appointments, terminations, increases, deductions, etc.)

  • Communicate payroll deadlines, policies, and procedures.

  • Process payroll adjustments.

  • Prepare monthly reconciliations (salaries, tax, medical aid, provident fund).

  • Provide payroll-related management reports and leave reports monthly.

  • Load invoices on Sage X3, ensuring proper reconciliation to the payroll system.

  • Prepare payment requisitions for all salary-related items, including directors’ remuneration, and coordinate payments.

  • Maintain accurate and complete payroll records.

  • Register companies with authorities (SARS, Workmen’s Compensation, Department of Labour).

  • Prepare and submit statutory declarations (EMP201, EMP501, UIF, Compensation) and process related payments.

  • Generate and release IRP5s and payslips.

  • Administer Medical Aid and Provident Fund portals.

  • Support HR processes (e.g., dummy payslips, manual leave calculations).

  • Prepare audit documentation for internal and external audits.

  • Act as primary liaison with PaySpace consultants.

  • Administer payroll system controls (access, backups, entity setups, tax rates).

  • Handle queries from authorities, auditors, and staff.

  • Calculate monthly maternity leave pay.

  • Communicate effectively with individuals at all organizational levels to resolve queries.

Requirements

Formal Education:

  • Degree or Diploma in Payroll Administration or equivalent certificate.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years in payroll administration in Financial Sector (Wealth Management / Insurance)

  • Remote work subject to management approval

  • Willingness to travel if required
