Payment Specialist
Job Description
A vacancy exists for a Payment Specialist within Kazang Connect, a division of Main Street 1723 (Pty) Ltd in Cape Town.
Responsibilities of the role include:
- Doing bank verifications on all new suppliers
- Loading all new suppliers onto the banking systems
- Vetting all new supplier contracts, doing CIPC & VAT checks for onboarding new suppliers
- Releasing new beneficiaries on ABSA
- Releasing new suppliers on ContentReady
- Finalizing daily reconciliations between bank statements & ContentReady payment reports
- Handling any queries that arise from the daily reconciliations
- Loading of payments
- Monitoring emails for stuck, on hold or failed payments
- Following up with Cyclops support team on stuck, on hold or failed payments
- Monthly debtor invoicing for commissions owed
- Running of debtor statements at month end
- Emailing of debtor statements to clients
- Handling any queries that arise from the debtor invoicing & statements
- Monitor the relevant contracts queue on Freshdesk
In order to be considered for the position, the following requirements must be met:
- Matric / Grade 12 qualification
- 1 year experience in a similar role
Technical Competencies:
- Ability to work within a computerized admin environment
- Sound computer literacy – able to work with on Word, Excel & use the internet
- Critical Admin skills including good organizational and planning skills, with good problem-solving and time-management skills
- High attention to detail is critical, as well as the ability to manage multiple demands
- Sound communication skills in English (both verbal and written)
